So I forgot to report on what else I have chosen to fill my future time with. I will start by saying that they are both obscure sports. One of which I have wanted to try and play for quite sometime now. And the second has probably not been heard of by many of you. So now to brass tacks.
The first sport is Curling.
Im not sure how many of you have actually tried the sport but hopefully those of you that have can give me some pre league pointers. We haven’t formed teams yet but I have a couple of friends that might try it with me. I am very excited for this and I hope that I do well. My roomate is banking on the fact that I’m going to turn out to be this weird curling prodigy. I think he just wants me to take him to the olympics.
The second sport is called Hurling. It is a Gaelic sport kind of like baseball, lacrosse, and hockey combined. It kind of weird too and hard to explain. So I am going to direct you to a youtube video that shows the game in action.

So recently this semester as things are winding up I have looked to keep my self busy. I hate being idle and so since I have my schedule set up to be done with school and work almost every day by 3, I have a lot of spare time in my evenings. Firstly I have signed up for 2 institute class. One is Writings of John the beloved which I am really excited about, and Introduction to Family History. I think they are going to be great classes.
I have been really busy lately, and so if you haven’t heard from me in a while business would be a good guess. I tell you my school schedule so you can get a glimpse of what it is like.
Monday
5:30 - Get up and go to the gym.
7:30 - Go to work
10:00 - History of the Rennaisance
11:00 - Pomology
12:30 - Lunch
2:00 - Karate
3:00 - Study.
5:00 Dinner
7:00 FHE
9:30 Sleep
I know it doesn’t look that tiring, and you’d be right. Thats why Im trying to fill in some of that extra idle space with something more constructive. So I decided that my spanish could use some help, so with the okay of out institute director. I was authorized to start a spanish institute class where we study the Book of Mormon. The entire class is going to be in spanish and I already have about 10 people signed up to take it. I am very excited. I’ll get around to talking to you all soon. And I apologize if I missed certain recent birthdays. I’ll call you soon.

Time flies so swiftly, and I have finished another 4 or 5 classes. I am exhausted. The past 2 weeks I have been studying for finals, trying to decide on who my councilers were going to be, and identify all of the insects that I have in my collection to Family. Oh, by the way, I was called to be Elders Quorum President a few weeks ago. It is kind of a daunting job in the aspect that I have had fairly cushy callings in the past. I have been music chairmen 3 times, choir director twice, FHE Group leader, and Financial Clerk. All of which dont take too much time out of your schedule. But I am very honored that the Lord would see potential in something as weak as I am. But as the scriptures say “I show unto men their weakness, that they may be humble.” I will enjoy this humbling experience as I serve his children.
Other things that have been occuring in my crazy life, include:
Being asked by the research lead from the USDA to assist him in an experiment with genetic make up in plants. Im not sure exactly what it is yet but I am excited never the less. He told me that he is going to get me trained in extracting DNA and processing it and all sorts of other cool stuff.
Taking a drawing class during this first summer session. I have felt that I wanted to improve my drawing skills, and I also needed a full time schedule during the summer so I needed an extra 2 credits with my 4 credit chemistry class. We had our first class today, I think the teacher is going to be pretty cool, he seems pretty new to the whole college teaching though, so we will see how he does. Maybe ill put up my drawings so dad can critique them. We’ll see.

Every so often I am reminded of how small the world is. Or at least the smallness of the church. I say this because yesterday I was introduced to our third cousin once removed. It was on facebook, so I cant say that I officially “met” her but it was pretty fun to actually meet someone distantly related to us. Her name is Shaun Marie Cornwall and we are related through our great great grandfather Joseph Cornwall. Joseph had two sons, Alma Millen and Ernest. Alma Millen had Glenn Hill Cornwall while Ernest had Chauncy Cornwall. Chauncy had Red, Red had Rusty and Rusty had Shaun Marie Cornwall. So we are third cousins with Rusty and once removed with his daughter. I just thought this was really cool.

I have been watching this show alot lately. The music is great and the story line just make me laugh. It was written and produced by Joss Whedon and it starts Niel Patrick Harris and it is wonderful. Take a look.
